We take security really seriously. So when you arrive, please make sure you’ve got plenty of time to go through the checks at all entrances. Queues are likely, so arrive early to avoid them. Additional security measures may also come into effect on certain events – we’ll let you know on your event page.
In addition to ticket checks, small bags will also be searched. We don’t have any cloakrooms in our venue and for security reasons, bags bigger than a standard rucksack (approx 35(W)x17(D)x42(H)cm) aren’t allowed. Luggage can’t go into the auditorium, or be stored anywhere in the venue.
We’ll also get you to pass through our screening arches. They’re our way of making sure nothing’s coming into the venue that shouldn’t be. They’re safe for everyone, including pregnant women and people with pacemakers.
You can’t bring drinks into the venue unless you’ve got a proven medical reason. We sell a variety of drinks inside and there are water towers on the concourses. If you need to carry drinks for medical reasons, please email customer services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There’s no readmission and no exit for smoking. If you arrive late, you might need to wait until there’s a break in the performance before you enter.
What else do we do to keep you safe
There’s a lot we do behind the scenes to make sure you’re safe inside our venue. There are the security measures you can see and of course the ones you can’t. The site’s under constant monitoring and when you’re with us, you’re in the hands of trained staff. We also work very closely with the Metropolitan Police and members of the security services to ensure our security procedures are up to date and following best practice.
It’s up to the promoter whether you can take photos at the event. Sometimes artists don’t allow any photography during a concert and their policy may not come into effect at short notice. In these cases, you’ll be asked to leave your cameras and collect them after the show.
Usually, professional-type cameras (with large or detachable lenses), camcorders and tripods aren’t allowed.
